Also known as the Assassin Snake, these creatures native to the Shadow Roads are aggressive, calculating, intelligent, and lethal.

Appearing as a matte black serpent with two bone arms that are similar to wings in design, but ending in sharp natural blades, Nagina are both inredibly swift as well as capable of sadistic harm.

A Nagina is most vulnerable when it is young, while it's scales still possess a sheen. As they grow older, their scales lose this sheen, becoming more matte, and according to some even absorbing the very light around them for the largest and oldest among them. Nagina are not intelligent to the point of sentience (at least not that has been observed), but they are known to be smart enough to toy with and taunt their prey; tracking and psychologically assaulting their victim before engaging. One tactic the beasts are fond of is quickly and silently slithering past a target and slicing at the tendon in their heels to inhibit their chances of escaping.
