A Stramtos is a winged ram or sheep, with thick wool that looks like a fluffy cloud. This wool can range from pure white to dark grey, like a heavy storm head. Stramtos are Air Aspected creatures, possessing an innate connection to the powers of air and lightning, and even sometimes have sparks jump off their wool or subtle flashes that looks like lightning just under the surface. Able to fly using the 4 wings on their body (two on the back shoulders and two on the rear haunches), this is enabled further by their ability to reduce their weight for periods of time.  

While not overtly aggressive, male Stramtos can be territorial and may make threat displays to other creatures or even people who get too close, usually by lowering their head and body, stomping and scuffing a front hoof, shaking their head and brandishing their horns, or even emitting a sound akin to rolling thunder from their body as they cause sparks to flare off of them. These creatures are deceptively fast and should not be taken lightly if one is acting hostile, let alone the shocking and even paralyzing effect their attacks may have, rendering their victims helpless against further assault.

Stramtos are additionally the source of two of Alterra's Special Materials: Featherfleece and Feathergrain, which are the wool and leather from the creature respectively. Both possess qualities of the creature, be it in properties of reduced weight, the Aspect of Air, or the shocking and paralyzing properties referenced above.
